Initiated in 1985, the Leadership Development Seminar included a training agenda that focused on technical assistance in such areas as administration, problem solving, and program and policy development. Since then, the retreat has revisited the founding history of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women and has examined the framework for the organization’s future. This year, under the leadership of Cochairs Dr. LaVerne A. Gentry and Dr. Sandra F. Mack, a two-day retreat will be held October 3 -4, in conjunction with the biennial conference, at the BWI Airport Marriott, Baltimore, Maryland.
